JACOB BISHOP

Jacob Bishop is an Associate Attorney in the commercial litigation unit at The Moster Law Firm’s Dallas office. Jacob is a native Texan with a Bachelor of Science in Global Business from The University of Texas at Dallas and received his J.D. from The University of Texas. Prior to his time at The Moster Law Firm, Jacob worked on behalf of numerous corporations undergoing FTC merger reviews that concerned everything from missiles to cucumbers.

Jacob took a non-traditional track to the practice of law, first serving in the US Army from 2008-2013 as enlisted airborne infantry with the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division in Anchorage, AK, a role he affectionately refers to as “an arctic human lawn dart.” After five years of jumping out of perfectly good airplanes into the Alaskan wilderness and two deployments to Afghanistan during some of the heaviest fighting of the war, he decided to leave the Army at the rank of sergeant and do something difficult for a change by going to law school. Unsurprisingly, he describes his approach to the practice of law as “default aggressive.”

Jacob currently lives in Dallas, TX with his wonderful wife and four furry children (he has a soft spot for animals) and is a very active member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. In his spare time, Jacob fancies himself an amateur bodybuilder and enjoys all things tabletop nerd from D&D to Warhammer 40K.
