Evelyn Garcia Lopez is an Associate Attorney in The Moster Law Firm’s Houston office. Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, Evelyn brings a background in civil litigation, legal research, and public interest law. At The Moster Law Firm, Evelyn evaluates complex civil disputes and identifies potential legal claims. Her work includes matters involving residential construction disputes, consumer protection issues, solar fraud and financing disputes, contract claims, and deceptive trade practices. She regularly reviews contracts, financing documents, warranties, construction records, correspondence, and other evidence to assess the legal and factual issues presented by each matter. She works closely with prospective clients to discuss their legal concerns, evaluate potential claims, and explain the legal remedies and options that may be available based on the facts of their case.

Prior to joining The Moster Law Firm, Evelyn operated an independent legal practice, where she advised clients and handled a variety of civil legal matters. She also served as an Equal Justice Works Fellow and Staff Attorney, managing a grant-funded digital legal hotline while representing clients in matters involving driver’s license restoration and criminal record clearing. These experiences strengthened her skills in client counseling, legal analysis, and practical problem-solving. Evelyn’s experience also includes legal and regulatory research through a special project with the Texas A&M School of Public Health, where she analyzed complex multi-state regulatory frameworks and compliance issues. This work further developed her ability to interpret statutory and regulatory requirements and apply them to complex factual circumstances.

Evelyn earned her Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law, where she served as President and Fellow of the Public Interest Law Fellowship. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston-Downtown with Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Philosophy. Outside of the office, Evelyn enjoys spending time with family, traveling, exploring new cuisines, and taking her dog, Cookie, on outdoor adventures. She is also an avid reader who appreciates storytelling in all its forms.
